Advocate for Hospital and Healthcare. The Town successfully secured a commitment from the province for a planning grant for a new hospital. The West Whitby Medical Centre opened construction of a 10-bed Whitby Hospice (The Roger Anderson House).
New west Whitby firehall groundbreaking, New firehall at Rossland/Des Newman to decrease emergency response times, opening in late 2027 or early 2028.
Brought motion forward to reduce red tape and asked staff to develop a pilot project to reduce time on simple residential permits, including decks, fences, and sheds.
Brought a funding motion to the province for the funding of a West Whitby school. The new school in Whitby Meadows will be opening this fall in time for the new school year.
Brought the motion forward to reopen the south parking lot at the GO Station. The parking lot was closed. The motion passed unanimously at Council after working with town staff and Metrolinx.
Served as a Member of the Community Strategic Plan Committee. Received thousands of responses from Whitby residents, and 100% of action items have been started or completed.
New Whitby Sports Complex, opening September 12th, will facilitate hockey, ringette, basketball, volleyball, swimming, pickleball, soccer, and more.
New Outdoor Whitby Sports Complex: The town secured 60 hectares of land in north Whitby to facilitate baseball, soccer, and cricket.
Economic Development and New Business, 105 new businesses opened in 2025, attracting major employers such as Amazon, Mazda, and Softmac.
Safer Roads, New traffic calming policy to enhance safety on our streets, includes a reduction to 40KM/HR on residential roads.
Advocate for Federal and Provincial Funding Grants. The town secured grants of $50 million in 2024 and $21.5 million in funding for 2025. Secured $62 million for infrastructure and growth and will continue to advocate for more grants in the next term of Council (2026 - 2030).
